15 year old Amber began skating in her home country, Australia, in October 2005. She moved to Singapore, where she continued her training and in a short period of time excelled, competing in local Interschool competitions, as well as Skate Malaysia, Skate Singapore, Skate Asia Winter Classic and the 6th ISU National Figure Skating Competition! Amber and her family returned to Australia for a short while, before moving to the UK in September 2007. She entered the British system at NISA Level 4 and Michael has coached Amber since then.
Amber has achieved Level 8 Field Moves, Elements and Free. In March 2009 she entered her first international competition, Skate Copenhagen. It was a fabulous experience and she skated beautifully!
Other achievements include 2nd at Basingstoke (Ladies Level 7), 2nd at Milton Keynes (Ladies Level 7) and 1st at Guildford (Ladies Level 7). In September, Amber gained 2nd place at Alexandra Palace (Level 7) and 1st at Swindon (Level 7). And in November 2009 she came 1st at Gillingham (Level 7).
Amber also took part in the National Team Challenge, where Basingstoke were the overall 2009 winners.
"Amber is detemined, talented and a pleasure to teach!" Michael Jaye
