"I am so proud of Jess. She has succeeded in so many ways this year. Her skating contines to improve and delight, her skills in choreography continue to amaze, and she has also proved herself to be a first rate and extremely popular teacher! I wish you all the best in 2010!"
Following in the footsteps of her two older sisters, Jess began skating at the age of 5...and, of course, her coach was Michael Jaye! Now, ten years later, Jess is seriously dedicated to figure skating and gives 100% effort and enthusiasm towards each project, whether it is training, competing or rehearsing for a show. In 2009, amongst others, she competed at Guildford and Basingstoke, with a 2nd at Basingstoke in the Ladies Level 8 category and 1st for her Solo Exhibition. And she passed level 10 field moves. And, in September, at Alexandra Palace Jess came third, competing at Level Eight.
For fun, in summer 2009, Jess took part in the National Team Challenge, both as a solo artist and skating as part of the team. Basingstoke were the 2009 overall winners!
In April this year Jess competed at Lee Valley IJS. She gave a fabulous performance and her marks were considerably improved from last year. Well done Jess.
"Not only is Jess a talented ice skater, but she is also proving to be an exceptional choreographer too!" Michael Jaye
